Bentley Turbo R (90) Service Requirements
Discussion
My 1990 Turbo R has a full service history based on miles not time. She is due for her MOT this month and I would like to get her serviced at the same time. She has covered 86,350 approx. Any suggestions as to which service she should have (12,000 mile one perhaps)? Are there any specific items I should definately have serviced apart from the usual: Oil/Filters etc.? I just want to make sure I get what needs to be done done, as opposed to what a garage may tell me I need doing. Advice/suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hydraulic reservoir tops cleaned down, checked and tightened return hose clips.Pressure tested hydraulic brake accumulators and found 0 nitrogen gas pressure, so replaced both hydraulic brake accumulators and bled the complete system. The rear suspension hydraulic gas spring accumulator spheres were replaced. There was low nitrogen gas pressure hard/bouncing rear suspension which was sorted out.She then sat up and level and has been so ever since. A full 12,000 mile B service was carried out. Both front & rear brake pads have been replaced. New tyres all round. New battery. Both front wheel bearings adjusted accordingly.
Hope that helps.

Since you're almost at 90K, you could do that one early. If that were my car, I would do the following;
-oil and filter
-spark plugs
-air filter
-transmission fluid and filter (this is typically an every 30K service)
- depending on how many years since the coolant was changed, I'd add that on too. Typically, you want to change it every 2-3 years.
Cheers,
Aaron
