Hi folks - not in this Bentley section usually but not new to PH smile

My father has a very nice Continental GT which he got delivered new in September 2004 which he is thinking of selling.

I'd very much appreciate an indication of value/how much he should expect - details are as follow:

22000 miles, full service history, just MOTd.

Rare (unpopular?) colour of Umbrian Red with portland hide, and dark grey dashtop and wheel.

Standard car with 19" 5 spoke alloys and recent correct tyres (Pirelli P Zero I think)

Some factory extras but I can't remember the details right now (I think upgraded walnut veneer was one?) I seem to recall he paid around £120k new so that'd indicate some extras I think...

...sorry about the vagueness over the details but he has all the paperwork from new.

And - I believe the high-level brake light has always worked!!!

Thanks in advance for any constructive comments wink

Hi There, Call Kevin Grace on 07747096666. he's the group buyer for Hr Owen/Broughtons and he'll buy the car or at least give you an honest value.

It's looking too old to go into group, so they'd give a price just to trade it out.
You'd get a bit more if you were to p/x but that would just give you less wiggle room on a new car.
You'd get mid £30's if you’re lucky and sold privately, low £30's if p/x as it's a "different" finish and the first gen cars are seen to be more problematic.

It sounds like a lovely genuine car though, I shouldn't think it would be too difficult to sell on privately rather than put it into the trade.

Just Googled Bentley Umbrian Red. Very suitable colour for such a car. Wouldn't put me off.

That car will sell in short order. Sounds very genuine compared to a lot of the silver and black mega miles landfill that's around.

To give you an idea, I sold my 54' plate, one owner from new Mulliner, grey with saddle hide, 14k miles, FULL Mulliner spec with full main dealer history and 12months tax and MOT for £39,500. That was last year.
