Was out yesterday in 'Hatty' my 1990 Bentley Turbo R, and met up with a friend of mine who was out in his 1978 Willow Gold Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II. We decided to have a bit of fun by placing both cars side by side in the car park and take some pictures. As we were doing so, someone my friend knows who is a 'Jaguar' enthusiast and a nice guy, came along in his Jag. He very kindly offered to take pictures of myself and my friend next to our respective cars, now side by side.

Having taken the pictures, this guy had a look at both the Rolls & the Bentley. The drivers window on the Bentley was open and he was looking in with his head through the open window. I said to him that he was very welcome to jump into the drivers seat. He was chuffed to bits, couldn't believe his luck, and did so.

As I was talking to my friend, he said to me "Look, he's taken his shoes off". And there on the ground by the side of the drivers door of the Bentley, were his shoes.

Priceless................

I had a similar experience when I took my daughter and her friend for a spin in the Arnage. Her friend was invited to sit in the 'money seat' in the back, but asked in a concerned tone if she was allowed to put her feet on the sheepskin rug. Poor girl.
