Ok I was looking for some help. Could some explain to me what the Mulliner pack is? Was it standard? When was it introduced? Is it the same as the “Mulliner driving pack”?
Obviously the car was replaced in 2001 with the new car but before that was there any changes made to the GT through its life?
I’ve never driven one but what’s it like? Sort ride? Heard ride? How does it compare to say a DB9?
What is the reliability like, I’ve heard mixed things in the past? Does Bentley do an aftermarket warranty anymore? I was told they used to but have now stopped offering one?
Thank you for the help.
The Mulliner kit is just visual, 20" instead of the standard 19", quilted leather and knurled gear stick.
With it added the car looks alot better IMO which is why I found one with the option tick
Cars were updated almost yearly, condition varies alot so you need to see a few or know someone who has I get a feel for them. Early 04 cars had a few problem areas, 06 updated internals bigger battery, 07 was a bigger internal upgrade and DVD nav, they continued to be updated to the end, 08 had extra display option and the list goes on on later cars.
Things like the high level brake light didn't get sorted until '10 cars but at least the spare part works now and can be fitted to all the older cars. The fit and finish is very good on a cared for car and most thing came as standard.
They are a great all round car, turn the suspension up to full and stick it in sports shift and the big girl will shift, left a db9 for dead. Although 4wd did help, the db9 did give it a good go. Oh and you get real back seats.
