Tyre Wear Continental GT
Discussion
Hi folks,
I'm hoping someone here may be able to help with some info. I am quite new to Bentley GT ownership and after a recent service in September all seemed fine. Recently I started feeling a bit of vibration through the steering wheel. Thought it may be a wheel out of balance so I took her to a local Tyre centre. It transpires the nearside front type was out of shape and the inside edge almost down to the canvas (off side is similar though not as bad). The rest of both tyres still had a fair amount of tread on it, tracking is also okay. Just wondered if anyone had experienced anything similar, if this is common for these cars or there is something else i should get checked out?
Any help very much appreciated
thanks
Mark

Hi there,
thanks for the feedback on this, car is running on standard alloys and no buckle thankfully. Turns out the geo was just slightly out on the front, very small amount but apparently when the tyres get low it can rip through the insides pretty quickly and in the case of mine caused the tyre to go out of shape. All sorted now, was a bit miffed that as part of the £4k I had handed over at the last service they hadn't checked it was driving in a straight line but I imagine that is Bentley ownership for you!!! I still love this car.
