I recently bought these two cases and wondered whether anyone knew what cars (if any ) they are from? One of them has an original 'blue old man blade' razor blade still in it's paper wrapper. They have 'chromium plated made in England' on them and seem to contain brushes, talc dispensers, nail scissors and a file, a razor, mirror and soap dish. The zippers are branded 'lightning' which google tells me is an old brand.
Thanks
Andy

Not car-related IMO.

I forgot to photograph the front of both cases, which have the rr logo on a silver square attached / embedded into the leather. Both seem quite old.
Thanks
Andy

Hi Andy,

What you may have there is a Gentleman's Grooming set some were made by the Rolls Razor company, alternatively the initials may be of the original owner. I have a similar set in a pig skin case.
My understanding is they were quite common yet good quality and expensive period accessory during the 1930s yours is rare to have all its items intact
