I believe Bentley main dealers do now not remove the rear screen in order to replace the third brake light. Do any boffins out there know what the procedure is?
yes replacement b lights can be fitted without window removalthe original has a lip that sits under the edge off the glass, you have to use a very sharp knife and cut through the lip from above/outside the car you then need to drop the headliner and disconect the plug to the lamp and the cable will have got cut as you cut through the plastic lip, then fashin some sort of slide hammer with a self tapper end, drill your original brake light in three key places and slide hammer it up and off its fixing lugs, thats the old one off and out, you need to depin the new lamp and where the wire goes through under the rear glass you have to cut a channel under the glass through the sealer to thread the wire in.through this is a pain, when you have done this push wires through and bang new light back on original clips, plug wires back in under side and fill the gap for the wires that you cut through with sealer, headliner back in,
i think its a bodge job but thats what bentley do them selves now,
