Supersports - how long before depreciation levels out

Morning all
Am weighing up the long term running costs of a supersports 2 seater vs a Ferrari 599 , I'll do no more than 2k a year, any views as I like both enough to contemplate ten years of ownership!

buy the supersports they are mustard, really,,, i can not see me ever buying another car sure i will play around with other cars but nothing comes close, cept a veyron i am 48 and reckon i will have mine till its game over, price wise unfortunatly they will drop like a stone as all bentleys do 6 yrs they will be a 50k car no denying it and one day maybe 30k but say 30 yrs will go back up, i think everyone should at some point in there life own a Bentley but they /any of them should never be worth less than 30k its a disgusting state of afairs

Am also on the verge. Sold my V8V a few months ago and still got space for a replacement. Either a Speed or an SS (used). Both were eye-wateringly impressive on the test drive. Now to find the right example at the right price...

The superbird is a full tube chassis drag race car promod i purchased it from the usa after it had run for 2 seasons it went 6.40 at 225 mph in the quarter mile, but i sold it to help finace the supersports this picture was actually the day a guy came from norway to collect the bird, i did the right deal,,

Influential, I moved from a V8V to a SS a couple of months ago and it's been the best decision I've ever made...

So much quicker and more civilised yet manic at the same time when you put it into Sport mode and press down hard.

The extendable wing on the back still makes me chuckle every time its deployed.

I managed to pick an example which had lost circa 45% in its first 12 months....I'm hoping I'll be on the right side of the depreciation curve for the next couple of years.

In my experience, if you're not fussed by having the 2 extra seats in the back you'll be able to get a deal on one.

Bentley will have to stop giving massive discounts on new cars to help used cars depreciate less.

Richard, Speeds are in the 60s now and SS obviously a lot higher. I think I'm more tempted by a nice Speed - did you drive both? The £30k lower ticket price and the extra back seats appeal. Am told to ensure the car has a Bentley warranty so the search continues.
