Wheeler Dealers - Bentley Mulsanne
Discussion
I just spotted the Bentley Mulsanne which was refurbished on Wheeler Dealers a couple of seasons back (A783YGF) - in McLaren Vale, South Australia!
I only recognised it because it's still wearing its UK plates, as well as South Australian trade plates.
I always wondered what happened to the cars after their 'restorations' were complete.

If you look in the main section of the forums, where people have seen the cars for sale by either the production company or Ed's friend Paul.
What condition is the Bentley in? . .. . . . .always wondered if the finished product was any good, as it always wound me up that they would put dirty / grubby parts back on freshly painted car (yes I'm that picky!)

Yeah, the Wheeler Dealers 1984 Bentley Mulsanne came to Australia in March this year.
The private importer put in on Ebay Australia straight away before it was made Aussie compliant. It was very cheap and the importer claimed money troubles.
I also recognised it from the UK number plates.
I remember that the auction ended on the 9 April as I was live blogging from the 53rd Federal Rally of the Rolls-Royce Owners Club of Australia in Canberra here:

I did not put a bid in though, as the ebay description, price and story seemed fishy. There was also no reference to the Wheeler Dealers programme at all in the ad which I thought was odd.
It was in Yarraville, Melbourne then. Interesting that it has not been advertised on the open market since.
There is a photo of the car down under. Notice the Holden ute in the background.
For those who have not seen the episode, you can watch it and see more photos here: http://www.bentleyspotting.com/2011/11/wheeler-dea...

The Bentley in question was up for sale on Ebay, the sealer was not happy. The car had a BIG lump of filler fall out (rear nearside wing) cost £400 for its MOT,the headlights were stuck on high beam and other bits. This when it was mainly stored.
Gary
So as good a quality restoration as they did on the 308 GT4 Gary
