A quick question if I may, the wheels on our 2005 Bentley have recently been refurbished and it seems a tyre pressure sensor has been damaged. Unfortunately the main dealer is telling us all four sensors and module require to be replaced at a cool £1600. Has anyone else had a simmilar problem?

Thanks

Do you have access to the pressure sensors? . . . . if so, as it's a VW part, you may want to order one from a VW dealer smile

I believe the issue arises from the new type of sensors not being compatible with the new control module and the old type sensors that were compatible will probably be low on battery life and needing to be binned soon anyway. In fact chances are the dealer has checked the battery lives of the sensors and has recommended you changing all of the sensors because the ones that are not damaged don't have a lot of life left in them. Very common with 04/05 cars. Its now a part of the service schedule on later cars.
