Skis in a GTC?

GTC owners - is the boot bulkhead in the car fixed or is there any way of putting long items such as skis into the vehicle? I know it sounds a dumb question but there we go.

Looked at a GTC today and there is a ski hatch thingy. Didn't try it or check it but boot looked pretty deep anyway so would guess that's what it's for.

Someone who owns one can comment more accurately??
