Hi all,

I am getting married in May 2012 and would like my bride to arrive in a Bentley/Roller or some sort.

Problem is, as we are getting married and having the reception at the same venue, I only need to hire a car for moving from one side of Bruton to the other for her 'arrival'. Can't see it taking longer than an hour and can't really justify the whole day hire fees the wedding hire firms charge.

Anyone on here have any recommendations or better yet, fancy playing Parker for the day?

Thanks,

Chris

300 for a car I can afford. But as bills just passed £16k (excluding the rings and honeymoon) I'm looking to shave costs where possible!

I'll pay if I have too, just looking for options. Thanks for the help ;-)

Chris, email Pat Smith patriciaann.smith@btinternet.com (Tel 01225 8720056) she is the Great Western section of the RREC secretary and may be able to point you in the right direction of a suitable car and or RREC member in the area who could help.

Good Luck!

yes
If you don’t want to risk spending your first night of marriage on the couch / spare room / dogs bed / hotel laundry room etc. then just spend the money, after all you're talking about raising the total cost of HER big day by a whopping 2% or so!

I've got to agree with the other two chaps. If you ring the wedding car company and tell them it's just a small job, they'll probably do it for a discount because (1) recession; (2) they may be able to squeeze in another job.

I would love to help you matey, for the cost of the fuel - but you're a bit far and it would end up costing 300 notes anyway.......sorry.....
