Arnage RL s(h)at-nav........
Discussion
Decided to use the in-car sat nav instead of my tim-tim to see how good it was on a jounrey on Sunday.
Luckily I knew where I was going, as the sat nav wanted to take me miles out of the way.
I can only put it down to being out of date.
So, can it be updated? If so, how? Is there a CD located in the unit in the boot?
If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.....

The unit I bought was the Alpine NVE-N099P.Its pretty much plug and play apart from needing an adaptor lead which Alpine can supply. This integrates with the flip screen you have fitted in the vehicle and the radio CD etc.It updates the Nav to around 2005 spec, not as good as the latest tom tom but better than the prehistoric standard system.

I bought the same unit. Prices vary dramatically but it is worth paying a little extra to get the updated maps although they currently on Amazon are about £240 Some of the units on E-Bay have 2006 maps whereas the latest appear to be 2010.It will be worth paying a bit extra for the latest model as updated maps are quite expensive. http://www.incarexpress.co.uk/view_product.php?par...
I find it works well and compares favourably with units in my other cars.
