had 2 engine mountings changed 3 months ago.perfect.
now the car has developed a clicking sound when i,m on and off of the throttle.
its driving me mad. ANY IDEAS

If you've replaced that many mounts, then something else is wrong. Are your gearbox mounts ok? If you give a bit of right foot in first, do you get the knocking noise?

which mounts did you get replaced?

my man replaced the top engine mount and the 1 under the battery,he left the gearbox mount underneath as it had no play in it at all.everything was perfect for about a month and then this clicking sound started under the bonnet somewhere and i just cant find out where.if i throttle on and off very gently i dosnt do it but normal driving it does.

Is it a ticking or a knocking? if it's a proper knocking sound, it will be your exhaust manifold knocking, replacing the dog bone (lower gearbox) mount with a powerflex one should solve this. Also slackening off the other two mounts and pulling the engine toward the front of the car and tightening them works.

replaced the dog bone mount today,,,, no more clicking.........

i,m like a kid with a new toy,,,,that clicking was driving me round the bend.

the bush was coming out of the old mount and the edge of the mount was wearing away on something,,,that must of been the clicking.... CHEERS J K
