Megane air con problem

I recently bought my wife a 54 plate Megane dci which were both very happy with.
The problem we have is that the air con (Digital climate) isn't blowing particualrly cold, i took it into the local kwik-fit today to have it regassed and they couldn't get the car to take any gas, as part of the procedure they go through, their kit checked how much refridgerent is currently in the system and also checks for leaks.
During this check they discovered that there wasn't any refridgerent at all in the system, and that the system is leak free, they also confirmed that the compressor was kicking in.
As is their policy, they didn't charge me as there is no improvement and advised me to take it to another branch to rule out a fault with their kit. The guy did say that somethimes the inlet valve for filling the system can be faulty, does anyone have any ideas?

Seriously!
You should look for someone competent, experienced and qualified with more than a 2 day training course to carry out your a/c service.
The Renault Megane and Renault Scenic models suffer most commonly with a/c pressure switch failures or leaking condensers as well as some less common wiring faults, any a/c engineer who actually knows what they are doing should be able to diagnose your vehicle without any dramas.
My brother works for Kwik Fit and if their machine (computer) says no then that is as far as they can go. Any vehicle that will not operate with their machine usually gets sent straight to a specialist, at least Kwik Fit do not charge you to tell you that they can't do it.
What area are you in? There is an Air Conditioning centre in Southampton called Auto Technix who have an engineer with 30 years experience repairing car air conditioning and specialising in Renaults.
