clio gearbox - will megane/other fit?

i have an x plate clio 1.6 16v with a dead gearbox and will be spending the day trying to source a cheap, local replacement.
to help widen the field, does anyone here know if the box from the 1.6 16v original megane will be the same? are there any other options from the range?
