I appear to have buggered up my other post and it doesn't have a title, so I can't get on it on my mobile to get rid of it. Apologies!

Where do those of you in Scotland get your Renaultsport servicing done? Could you reccommend somewhere to change my timing belt? (5 year old 182, 38k) I'm not keen on paying main dealer prices but would like some Renault expertise.

Thanks in advance smile

I get most of the work on my 182 done by a guy in Maddison. He works for a trusted local indie garage, but is happy to work weekends too if need be.

Let me know if you want his number.

Cheers sir, that's the kind of thing I'm after. I think you can p.m. / email me through this site. If you could do that with either his number or the garage name that would be grand!

I also have a Clio 182 and Kenny Brown Motor Sport (Glasgow) is undertaking the work in March.

He is very familiar with the F4R engines that are in the RS Clio's (i am on my 3rd now) so he knows what he is doing. It is advised that you do the water pump whilst doing the cambelt also.

He qouted me £300 for labour (im supplying the water pump and belt kit)

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the options gents!

Have either of you had/sorted what appears to be the common "ticking" while warm and idling type noise? I read in Evo this month about a possible fix but this escapes me. It's something to do with the inlet cam, and the review suggested getting it looked at while the timing belt is changed.

Doesn't appear to be a great problem in the grand scheme of things - but it is annoying me!
