Just purchased one, test drove it yesterday, and will be picking it up on the 29th. It'll be my first sporty car, 2nd car in total, after my little 1.2 litre corsa, so just wondering if anyone else owns one on here, and if so, what is it like as a daily driver and anything I should be aware of?

One thing I did notice was that changing up on the motorway and getting the revs up, the gear changes weren't very smooth but cruising round town, it was fine. I presume it was my fault due to not being used to such a high powered car and clutch being a bit heavier than I'm used to or is this normally?

It will be a drastic move up from a 1.2!! Enjoy! There is a lot of info on renaultsport.co.uk forums. I have a Clio200, the baby brother to your car. If you have 5 hours to spare have a read of the Speedo Needle thread...

I've had a 250 cup for nearly a year now and have loved it! Both the engine and gearbox loosen up quite a bit after a few thousand miles so I wouldn't worry about the gearchange too much - although having said that mine is slightly notchy in the cold.

As an everyday proposition it's superb - I use to to commute 250 miles a week and it cruises on the motorway really well, I find the standard seats very comfortable and I'm 6'7".

You'll love it!

Signed up to the Renault sport forum, going to keep an eye on both the speedo needle and the whistling noise at high speed thread to see where it goes.

Going to see if I can push the garage and get it done for next Saturday as can't wait 2 more weeks :-(.

Why super unleaded, the garage made no mention of it requiring super unleaded?

It will run at lower power if you use 95

I'll keep that in mind if I go on a track day, would love to do one this year. I'll stick to 95 for now :-)

It will run fine on both, but a bit more responsive on super unleaded. I used 'std' unleaded in mine and only put super in it for a trackday...

I've had mine for a year now and still love it! Mine's been mapped by Paul @ RS Tuning in Leeds and is running 300bhp.

Thanks Dan, just joined the Meganesport forum as well. Gave it a blast lastnight along the A52 toasted Nottingham, my old commute to work, and it was so amazing to be able to despatch the old ladies in their Matizs so easily :-).

What does a remap do interns of fuel economy/warranty?
