I am buying a 2008 plate renault clio 1.2 TCE and read the figures for the MPG as around 47. I have spoken to somebody who used to work for renault and he said they had one and could not get more than 35MPG out of it.

Now i know the figures never normally match up to the ones published but don't normally miss by 12MPG.

Can anybody who has got one say what MPG they have managed to get?

Cheers,

If they couldn't get above 35mpg, then they must be driving it very badly, or it's involving lots of cold morning start ups with leaving the engine running while scraping the windows.

I borrowed one for 2 days from my work and even on virtually a virgin engine (less than 500miles) I was getting over 42mpg on duel carridgeways / town driving.
