changing front springs on GTI-6

Going to change front springs on Pug. Never done it before, but been reading up and can get all necessary tools (spring compressors etc)

Anyone got insider knowledge on this job... is it relatively easy?

any hints or tips?... or even pitfalls?

Be very careful!!!
I won't use spring compressors any more far too dangerous.My advice would be find a local garage that has a machine for compressing the springs and pay them to change them when you have removed the struts.They will probably only charge you £30ish.
Far better.
Othet than that reasonably simple if you are competent with spanners.
