Hi there

Last night driving home in traffic my coolant gauge starting heading towards the red (bottom on in pic) It's not done this before and would normally stay around 50. Don't know what the gauge above it is but is started increasing as well.

Coolant level is fine.

Any thoughts on what the problem is, my mechanic can't take a look at it until next week unfortunately.

Thanks

Well for a start 50 degrees for coolant is way too low, should be around 90. This indicates a thermostat stuck open or a temp sender fault. If its the temp sender it could just be reading high.

What temp did it get to? It might just be that the thermostat is working again.

If it got above 90 it could be any number of things, headgasket or waterpump maybe?

The gauge above is oil temp

It has obviously just started to work, didn't really go above 90/100. Will take the car out for a blast tomorrow and see what it goes to.

What is the gauge on the top left, above the petrol one?

Thanks
