2006 Megane centre console/radio issue

Hey,

Got a weird problem! I have a 56 plate megane estate, 1.6 dynamique.

After locking the car the centre console lights are staying on

Also the radio isn't working at all?

These have both happened within 2 days of eachother.

Fuses are all fine. The manual doesn't seem to help. Shouting at it and hitting it hasn't helped.

Any ideas?

There is a yellow technical note out on Radio's becoming inoperative after the temperature dipping below -0 celcius.

Grab an old wire coat hangar and cut two sections and bend them in half, poke them in the holes in the radio's facia and extract without damaging it. Disconnect all the connectors, reconnect after 2minutes and try to turn on.

If it turns on, it's a 99.9% chance your radio is affected by the yellow tech. note. (I could dig out the TN number for you if this works).

If the radio does still not work, chances are it is a fuse somewhere. Most likely the accessories/cigar lighter fuse. Check this, if it's OK, I'm out of idea's without seeing the vehicle myself.

We disconnected the battery which seems to have solved the issue but now we need the radio code

It should be in your service book, on the inside cover or on the first page.
