Clio Rain Sensor

The light and rain sensor on my 02 plate 172 has decided to stop working. I took the sensor off the screen last night and made sure it was all clean and connectly properly but the auto lights and wipers still don't work. The service light has also come on the dash which I assume is linked.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be the problem?

Try this:

Turn the ignition to the ACC position, turn the lights on and off twice. A faint beep will be heard if the sensor is re-set.

Worht a try. If it doesn't work then a code reader will probably be needed.
