guys, HELP!!! i've bought a snazzy new aerial stub/post thing for the roof of my pug but i cant get the old one off frown is there a tool or something i need? or a nak to it?
its a 2001 306 (if that helps!)
or does it just need some man brute force?!

Just one 8mm nut which you get to after removing the interior light housing.

but i dont want to take the whole aerial unit off the roof, just the long twizzly thing that flaps in the breeze and gets ripped off in car washes!!

Its part of the base unit.

Sometimes they are part of the base unit not always,try a pair of pliers just above where it should seperate, if it still won't budge then buy a new base unit too.

It's "supposed" to unscrew but they seize as they corrode. Best bet it to remove the whole assembly by unpopping the interior light then unbolting and unplugging the base from the inside. Wack some stiltons on it and it'll move eventually.

wish i'd seen this before i attempted the replacment!ha after tugging it a bit to hard i managed to rip the whole base unit thing off the roof!lol its not held on with ubber-super glue and a nice shiney new arieal on the roof. worth the hassle tho!lol
