My girlfriends 206 1.6 16v has a few electrical gremlins at the moment and i wondered if anyone had any idea's

The climate control is very intermitent. it whistles sometimes and other times the fan stops completely before working fully again. usually the whistling is on the first two settings.

Secondly the raido volume sometimes goes up on its own and now the radio says locked despite entering the right code.

Does anyone know where i can either get a wiring diagram or if this is something to do with the multiplex wiring? thanks in advance.

The whistling/stopping is likely to be the fan motor itself. Not 100% how to to get to it in a 206 but in the 306 it lives behind the glove box and is held in by 4 T15 screws (I think) To test if it is this give that area a wack next time it stops and it'll probabily get going again.

Fills up with bits of leaf and grass over time and the bearing dries out. Take the panel off under the dash, unscrew the motor, unlpug it and pull it out, knock the crap out of it and give it a grease and it'll work for a while longer. They're very expensive to replace for some reason.

Dunno about the radio not working, but the volume changing on its own may be due to a fault with the radio stalk on the steering column.
