Well....

They maybe only last a short time compared to normal tyres. But by golly gosh are they fantastic fun.

I would advise anyone to take the plunge and fit 888's (maybe not now winters coming). The grip levels are awesome.... who cares if they last a few miles.... the candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long.

They have made me fall in love with the pug all over again.

Also got me thinking that no wonder the R26R gets good lap times!!!

Only ever heard good things about these!

Currently got Toyo T1Rs on the Clio, but thinking of getting 888s next. Soo expensive compared to 'normal' tyres, but worth it I'm sure.

Yokohama A048s look quite similar, but are just as expensive, so will probably go for the 888s.

R888's seem to get more publicity etc. and i always wanted some, but at trackdays / hillclimbs everyone has 48's

'S 'cause A048R's used to be a lot more money so people would get the 888's instead. However, now the price is the same, well, my choice wouldn't have toyo on the side.

+1

The Yoko's are much better, basically because they're more of a racing carcass than a road tyre with no tread. 888's have soft sidewalls.
