Hi folks, I recently bought a 52 plate Clio first car and I love it smile. Only thing is the sunroof leaks, quite badly. The water seems to gather in the recess around the sunroof and leaks in the front left and right corners, it then seeps down into the headlining which saturates and causes the water to drip down onto the seat, causing a wet bum frown!
Anyone have any solutions for this, or is a bead of clear silicone my best bet?
Thanks in advance

It's a common problem on the Clio and having had a good few in my works with the same problem the only solution I found was to take out the headlining then the sunroof itself and then the plastic sunroof surround
With everthing removed clean up the roof surface (where the surround goes)and the surround itself then run a bead of silicone sealant around the sunroof opening leave it about 10 mins to go tacky and refit the surround and sunroof/headlining
This is the only way I found that stops the sunroof from leaking it's takes a while but worth doing hth

Surely this is something to do with the drains being blocked if the water just sits there? Check the drains imo

My pug leaked from the sun roof when I got it, i fixed it with a length of wire poked into the drain holes. Dark smelly matter came out.

Personally, I usually find the main one in my pants.
Badooom tish.
In mine, they are at the front corners of the recess, pointing down into the front A pillars.
But this is in my 12 year old car. Have you tried a friendly phone call to the service dept in your main dealer?

Renault never seem to have cracked the idea of waterproofing their cars. Fixed my ancient Clio and a friend's Megane that did this by running a length of cable down the drain holes then flushing them out with a hose pipe and a funnel. The hole is down on the sill and on the Megane at least there was a rubbish non return valve full of muck on each one. Just pulled them off and threw them away.

I know it's miles away from you, but there's a good place in Stockport and they have a very handy website. http://www.bettawindscreens.co.uk/

Resurrecting an old thread I know, but I'm in the process of solving the leak in a mark 3 with the Panoramic sunroof.
Here's the 2-minute video, which shows you how to do the 2-hour (ish) DIY job.
