I had a sump gasket replaced a week ago and today is my first time of driving it since and under full throttle the engine is stuttering and holding back. Dare I say this is nothing to do with the sump seal that was done but any ideas as to what it could be?

My ideas:

Plugs/ leads, Cheap Tesco fuel?

Any ideas? I'm due to do a track day tomorrow aswell so not good timing really.

Thanks

Is it only when cold or all the time?

The stuttering is all the time but a little worse at cold but the full throttle problem I've only noticed when warm.

Most likely a coil pack. HT leads can chaff through as well.

Local motor factors usually stock them.
I did leads (magnecor £60 ish iirc) plugs and coils to make sure there was no chance of it happening again.

So leads, plugs and coil pack?! Approx cost for all to be done? I understand a manifold gasket us required for access to the plugs.?

No, not if youre careful.
Man. splits across the front, a few other bits and bobs come off than just flip it over so you can access the coils / plugs. Be carefull if youre not changing the leads, they can be quite tight and easily broken.
Was a while since I did the job, think I left a coil pack in the car when I sold it.
Leads from Renault are over £120....
Coils iirc were around £40
Plugs I cant remember.
Takes around 30 mins.
