Peugeot 407 fuel consumption

Amongst other things I have a Peugeot 407 2.0 Auto (petrol) that I use for work. It spends almost all its time around town and will only return about 180 miles from a tank. Does this sound about right or is something amiss ??

If it's only commuting (i.e. rush hour) traffic then it's probably about right as it'll be mostly stop start I imagine. The auto 'box wont help matters as you can't coast in neutral. Probably worth getting it checked though just in case-things like the engine tuning can have a serious effect on fuel economy in dense traffic and whether the auto choke's sticking (happened on my 106, not sure if it's a common peugeot flaw.)
