Dependent upon road speed not engine speed, there is a strange noise that almost sounds like a helicopter above us.
After loads of looking, wheelbearing, stones in tyres blebs etc it looks like there is a band wih rectangular holes in it, around the driveshaft at the wheel end that is presumably for the ABS. The band is breaking up and catching the ABS sensor. Now the other driveshaft has a proper castlated cast ABS thing rather than this strange band arrangement. Has one of the shafts been changed, we have had this for the last 8 years so it must have been in the first 3 years if changed. Or did Peugeot fit different shafts to different sides?
Is there a simple fix or is it a complete driveshaft replacement and if so how much arre they and where's the best supplier?
Cheers

I`ve seen this a number of times, the shaft must have been replaced at some time with a non O/E product. You will have to replace the whole shaft and make sure its an O/E one.If the ABS warning light comes on the sensor will be damaged.

THanks,
Strange thing is it was a motobility car for three years and we are the second owners. Would have thought any repair work would have been by the Peugeot dealer
