306 hdi turbo

i have a 306 hdi turbo 90 bhp. i am thinking of fitting a intercooler as they dont have them fitted. just wondering if anyone knew if the intercooler and pipes off of a hdi 110 engine from a 406 or 307 would fit or not

I remember people fitting the cooler off a Sprinter van to these models. Go on the 306 forums buddy and do a search

406 bits fit but most cobble thier own system together out of random bits of hose and pipework then wack the biggest intercooler they can fit in there. You will need slimline fans as space is limited.

A decent remap is your first port of call followed by a decat and a straight through backbox. That'll make a significant difference without spending a lot of money and if you leave the centre box in it wont sound as cack. Pug306.net or Club306.com are reasonably good resources.

i am going to get a remap done i was looking into the sprinter intercoolers and some custom piping as i do alot of work on merc sprinters so in theory should be able to get one of a scrap van when one comes up. money is an issue the main reason for it it to try and get mo fuel ecconomy and the performance is an added bonus.
