Peugeot 205 diesel engine needed!

Hi folks,

I need a 1.8 Diesel engine (non turbo) for my little runaround (Peug 205.Year 1992)
Any ideas on where to find one? as someone outbid me recently on eBay (£55).

I know they are like gold dust but thought maybe someone knows a good'un worth investing in.

Try Dean Hunter at www.peugeotparts.co.uk he`s been dealing in Peugeot parts for 30yrs.Knowing Dean as I do he will want a lot more than £55!

Thanks for the reply, yes I did ring him and he wants £200 with 3 months warranty.Hummmmm.I will sleep on it for now, as the car is not worth more than 300.

as if you in the north west area, i know someone who has a very good turbo diesel, which came from a 309

More likely to find a 1.9 on there, but it's a bolt for bolt conversion and they look identical externally (earlier ones anyway) although to be honest would an insurance company care about you gaining 5bhp on a 60odd bhp engine?

Actually, yeah....they're anal bastids aren't they?!
