Citroen Xantia Squeaky Brakes

This has been going on for a while now I replaced the front pads cleaned off all the dust etc and the squeak went now one week later its back again, you apply the brakes and it sounds like a double decker bus stopping Its just gone through the Mot and none of the pistons are rusted or binding up any ideas?

Anti-squeal compound on the back of the pads? My xant used to squeal it's nuts off too.
