Ok 1st post,

I know this isn't probably the place to ask but I browsed the forums for a bit and couldn't find anywhere to post it.
I have a Citreon Saxo VTS mk1 that I need to get rid off. It's been in a crash so non driveable, but good for spares.

Is there a place to post it up?

The classifieds.

But if you want to talk about french cars, there is the French Bred forum.

Cool thanks.

Not interested in french cars to be fair, just this one is taking up valuable drive space smile

Actually in the market for a Skyline GT-S R33 (GTR I would love, but i've never had a turbo'd car...so 2 turbo's is probably too much right now smile)

Do any of you guys know of a reputable place to find totally factory spec R33 GT-S's? (or GTRs for that matter?)

Classifieds. You wouldn't be able to offer it for sparews on a forum anyway.

Sorry. Classifeids

Thanks Doofus. I'm not new to forums so I know why you 'corrected' your own spelling. I miss-typed Citroen, so congrats. I'll let you have that one smile

I'm not sure of the market for R33 GTSs, perhaps the Jap Chat forum would be a good point of call.

If you're importing however I have had dealings with www.neweraimports.com, pricey against the competition but I have no doubt they'll find you the best possible example for any given spec.

You could try www.saxperience.com only thing is you have to pay for membership or be a long standing forum user to post in the classified section.

Thanks Wildcard, did you quote that URL correctly? As I get a 404 on it frown

You'd probably find that as a whole, a mk1 vts that has been wrapped will only be good for a couple of hundred quid max as a full car.

If it was me, I'd strip the engine, box, loom and ECU out - sell them as one, strip the interior out with cards etc - sell it as one, and if it was a frontal, strip the rear beam off and sell it.

The engine and so on will fit loads of different cars, not just Saxo's - any TU engined Citroen or Peugeot will be capable of taking it, the interior is something that a load of kids would like to buy to spec up a base model car (straight swap unless it's a 5dr for obvious reasons) and the back beam, if it's in good nick will be a decent buy as they do tend to sieze very easily.

Total as a car - you'd be lucky to get more than £500 if it's not driveable.
Total as parts if you put the time in - £1k+. Prob sell the engine, box, loom and ECU (esp if you take the transponder ring, immobiliser, dials and keys) for about £5-600 on its own.

Does it still run? If it does, remember the unlock the ECU....improves it's desirability no end and it'll just be plug and play for whoever buys it.
