My Racing Blue 200 cup has arrived early. I was expecting it around the 11th August. Just have to wait until Friday to get my hands on it.

Only options it has are Recaros and GT spoiler.

Anyone got running in tips?

After doing some reading into it I'll probably not follow the 600 mile 3.5k rpm limit too strictly.

Correct choice of wheels and seats thumbup

Sorry I have no tips for running in, other than as you say, <3.5k rpm for 600.

Did you tell the buyer how it had been treated when he came to pick it up?

Love the 200 in Racing Blue. Renault advice on running is - 625 miles not exceeding 3500 rpm.

Thanks for the comments.

I know a lot of people aren't fans of the standard wheels but I think they look better than the speedlines and the anthracite isn't so dark that you can't see the detailing.

It is indeed going to be a long week. Not helped by the fact that my DC2 is still in the garage after someone drove into whilst it was parked, with enough force for the garage to recommend its a write off. Really didn't want to end up with two cars but thats what is going to happen unless the insurance company act fast.

Its a borderline total loss because they are getting the garage to get detailed pricing for parts from Honda. I want to tell them I'd prefer they wrote it off but I don't know if thats a good idea to tell them or not.

I'll get some more pics up when I collect it.

And you wonder why dealers have a bad name / reputation on this Forum..

Judging from your previous posts - either a Peuegot or Citroen dealer around Southampton way!!!

I work for Renault UK and often see old cars come up that used to be owned by Avis and enterprise etc. I dread those calls. The funny ones are "well it used to be owned by the dealership so it must have been looked after" d'oh

Dear swannynhb and eybic,

May I draw attention to a little phrase know as 'bringing the reputation of your employer into disrepute'.

Eybic, working for Renault UK,you should be ashamed of yourself. Swannynhb, frankly you are a . I have read a number of your contributions and aside from being an ill-informed dhead, you clearly have no loyalty to your employer.....right or wrong, abusing your employer that puts bread on your table and puts a roof over your head....and as an even greater crime, you struggle with the appropriate use of their, there and they're (a fking hanging offence in itself)

So, a 'lil bit of hard won advice......be vewy vewy carefull about what you say on public forums.

Hope this helps.

Easy Tiger!!!!

What the hell have I done to bring my company name into disrepute? Someone asked what dealership he was talking about and I jokingly said the one the op is going to. My second comment was simply referring to the fact that some people think a car owned by the dealership will be in better condition than a privately owned example, which most people with any kind of inside knowledge knows not to be true. Personally I can't see how this is in any way bringing my company reputation into disrepute? If you think it is then please elaborate on which of my 2 comments does so.

Thank you

My dad used to work for a well known Range Rover dealer and bouncing it off the rev limiter was all part of the PDI.

Do you really think the people who drive them before you care about the car in the slightest?

I think if you knew what really went on with "new" cars you would be really alarmed. I think people like you are better off living in blissful ignorance.

New cars NEVER, ever get damaged in transit and have to be repaired. My dad definitely didn't reverse a brand new unregistered Discovery 3 into a post. Cars definitely NEVER fall off ramps when being MOT'd. Dealerships NEVER fit parts from German, French and Swedish and tell you they are genuine parts. Brand new cars are NEVER clocked before you collect them.

When I bought my Megane R26 I took the approach of doing 100 miles (the trip home from the dealer basically) taking it easy. Not to bed anything in but more to check that it had been put together properly. If anything was going to come undone or fall apart I'd rather it happen at a lower speed!

From 100 miles I spanked it though. First track day was at 800 miles.
