I have just popped over the water for a quick holiday and decided to fix a 1995 1.4 Renault 5 we have over there.

The lambda sensor required replacing, so we jacked up the car and pulled off the pipe holding the lambda. After a considerable amount of effort we managed to get the Lambda out (looks like the original), however the new one wont thread back in, it seems the thread in the pipe has been seriously corrupted by heat (at least the first couple of threads).

So we tried to rethread by finding a similar bolt we didnt mind ruining and screwing it in (appeared to work), but still the lambda wont screw in.

Thus decided a new pipe section that holds the lambda in would be the trick, trouble being its 69 euros for a 20cm piece of pipe (albiet thick!).

I have tried searching for the pipe online without any luck, as they all seem to stop at the front pipe and are missing the pipe that we need. Any ideas what it is called or where we may get it for a fair price in France?
