Differences in megane sport specs
Discussion
Please can somebody explain to me the differences in the megane sport class ( older model )
You have the
225 cup
225 trophy
230 f1 r26
Is there any major differences between them as i want to get the best in class for around 10k (ISH)
I spoke to K tec racing and they said to me the only real difference is there is more torque and brembo brakes on the 230 F1 but they are all pretty much the same.
HELP????!!!!
Thanks
Mark

Well I'd question K-Tec's knowledge then.
To cut a long story short, given the torque of the Megane's turbo lump it's all about the LSD. That came on teh R26.
Basically 225 was ok. Trophy had much improved chassis. R26 had a wee bit more poke, Trophy chassis and LSD afaik.
Only one to go for.

Also the R26 had revised steering which is noticeable and a makes a big difference to how the car drives in my opinion.
All the Meganes have brembo's, just the R26's had drilled discs which always seem to crack out from the holes my R26 had two sets of discs before i changed to blank discs after 24k miles.
The lsd really does make the R26 the one to go for.
