406 drivers window

Hi there,

Mates 406 drivers window is stuck open! Press the button and the motor seems to click but does not raise window. Asume the window motor has gone as took door card off and gets hot when I press the button. Any way of raising the window manually?

No,the only way is to unhook the glass from the plastic fitting push it to the top and block it with something.Its quicker to get a new motor/rack assy,they are easy to fit.

Won't always be the motor, the switches are notorious for having problems due to water/damp ingress. Usually a strip down of the switch and a clean up of connections can cure.

mine did this, i took the whole switch unit apart and sprayed it with brake parts cleaner and all was good again, same with the indicator storks, cruise control etc
