Saxo VTR real world MPG?

Hi there, looking for a fun car to replace my astra because i can only manage about 35mpg driving normally.

Does the VTR far exceed this?

Not really, I think the best I averaged was 38-40mpg and that was with a well sorted engine.

Problem is a VTR ain't fun, the VTS is. And that averages 30-35mpg. But to be honest, the finanical gains when you're talking about a few mpg variance is pretty slim anyway. Lifes too short!

Driving normally id say only about the same, can get 40mpg if you toddle around like an old person that is mind numbingly boring though.
