Quite possibly the climate control sensor fan, a pretty common fault. You can get a new one from Renault part no - 8200 093 290 for about £20+VAT. Easy enough to fit.

I agree that its likely to be there climate control sensor.

Changed mine on my 172 a couple of weeks ago and its much better now. The climate control sensor measure cabin temp. by using a little fan which blows air over a thermistor all the time the car is running. Over time it seems dust builds up on the fan it causes it to beguin to vibrate making an annoying noise all the time.

From memory, if you look at the interior light on the left hand side there is a little rectangular slot. use a small screw driver to prise the interior light off and then carfully pull off the plastic surround. If you look through the hole where the light fits you will be able to see the little plastic clips. You just need to carefully pull it off. The CC sensor is just mounted on that piece of plastic and just unclips.

Its quite a straight forward quick job to do, just be gentle so not to snap the plastic bits.

Hope you get it sorted.

If it's a Cup, chances are it won't have climate control! Unless you have one of the last ones which formed part of the limited run to include Climate?
There were 139 Cups that came with CC (option from new) - 106 were in Mondial Blue & 33 in Iceburg Silver.

Pretty rare to have it, but the symptoms suggest that is is the CC sensor.

Mine was doing this, managed to stop it by cleaning all of the dust and stuff out from the fan.
