I love the advert, first time in a long time I have honestly said I would love to own that Peugeot.

It looks excellent in black. Has anyone done an in depth review of one yet?

Have not seen the advert, saw one in a car park today. Did a double take what a fantasic machine.

I don't know what the French have been drinking but they are making some fantastic looking cars at the moment.

I think they are a great looking car, something different but expect the usual round of ... it is French rubbish, cheese eating surrender monkey with poor reliability blah blah blah.

It's a great looking car but im not expecting much in terms of performance as Peugeot have seemed to give up on performance cars over the years.

that is a shame, they seem to be leaving that to renault.

If it went and handled like it looks I recon they would fly out of the show rooms.

Indeed, it is a shame. I do think however its a step in the right direction. It'd be nice to see them make a bonkers GTI.

New 308 GTI could be onto a winner if it takes chassis expertise from RCZ, and adds more of the tail out stance:

I liked the 207 GTi - it was a shame they deleted it from the range , I did find it was too easy to hit the rev limiter in 5th... perhaps they should have stuck the 6 speed box in it and upped the bhp to about 220!

I dont think the 308 200 will be a massive seller, I bet in the UK it will be badged as a GT rather than GTI. The last attempt at a fast 308 was the GT 175 which had a 0-60 of 8.3.

It was quietly deleted from the range.

In answer the OPs original question - the RCZ is fantastic - get down your local dealer and have a go! I've put 1250 miles on my GT HDI 163 in 17 days wink

Good video of RCZ Hdi vs TT tdi quattro. RCZ is better, also 7 tenths faster on the track.

But it's awfully ugly and overweight. No modern Peugeot could match a Renault for driving pleasure.

That fills that Diesel only sports coupe trackday niche nicely then doesn't it.

FFS performance should be measured on the fast version not the poor poseur version.

Hmmm, If I'm succesful going for the job I'm going for a will need a new car, probably would go for a 3 year lease and the RCZ and TT TDi have both caught my eye while looking/dreaming.

The job is working for VAG so staff deals may be available, but I do like the wacky looks of the RCZ.

Still Peugeots have more neutral chassis, but are made for high speeds what does not count on british backroads(and journalists). And yes I have driven Clio 200 cup, great little car, supple despite short wheel travel, nicely heavy for electric steering, but too understeery for me, and toy like, adjustable with very benign oversteer. So it is not so simple as the popular and public thinking.

Rather like the look of it - must have a test drive and make my own judgement.

Really like the personalisation factor when you configure he car.

I had a brief test drive in one yesterday and must admit I really enjoyed it. It handled well and there was good all round visibility. I haven't made up my mind yet if I want to buy one though.

I have never been so shocked by a car before. I had a play with one at Goodwood on Thursday and it's fantastic! Looks gorgeous from the outside, and the inside is a work of art with all that stitched leather. I was expecting just another Peugeot but boy was I wrong. Oh, and it drives quite well aswell. Couldn't get a single chirp out of the tyres and it had a fair amount of grunt for the size of engine.

What's the seating arrangements on these?

Are they a 2+2 or a strict 2 seater?

They are a 2 + 2 although I wouldn't like to try to have two tall adults in the back. It may be a bit of a squeeze. Not a bad sized boot for the type of car.
