Hi Guys

Normally hang out in the Italian Bull section of the site but I find myself in a rather unusual position. I have decided to add to the fleet by buying a Clio V6 Mk2. Not fussed about colour but really needs to have less than 30k on the clock as I am buying as a long term collector.

Eagerly went onto the classified section and found some nice cars but when I called them they were all sold. I've never had this situation where the model of car sells so quickly - I am normally looking for specific colour Italian supercars (92 ever made in UK) which are far less in numbers than V6's but it must be a sign of the cult following V6's have.

Anyone know of good examples either at dealers or private ( but I prefer dealers)

Cheers
Neil

Nothing on there at the moment, but keep an eye on the forums are www.renaultsport.co.uk theres a few regular dealers on there that seem to have them from time to time.

The French Car Show is also on next month, that could be a good source.

Ok - will take a look although hoping to buy before June as I have a run to the Alps it may need to go on if its too cold for the Roadster.

Where's the show then....

Rockingham I think.

Never been so don't know what its like. It clashes with Le Mans, which seems like poor planning to me, a French car show, clashing with Frances most famous motor race.

^ the liquid yellow one linked to above has been invovled in a crash and incurred 12k of damage in the past.

the best place to get info on the right v6 to buy is v6clio.net

if you join us a member you can get invaluable information on a cars history and alot of the best examples appear there for sale prior to appearing on pistonheads etc.

there are plently of very low mileage ones out there pefect for a collector, there are also alot of ones which have had some very dubious history!!

Well Guys - I found one.

Collected it yesterday and will be giving her a Zymol polish tomoz.

I have to say after being used to supercar handling the Clio is RIGHT UP THERE!! - Its so hyper-active and has awesomely sharp twitchy handling, but yet feels you get secure and planted when you get the chance to test her.

Although I didn't want to spin her on my virgin trip.....

Time to get onto Clio.net

Neil

Great looking car, you took that photo on a ferry? Where did you have to go to get that?

As Chunk said it came from N Ireland. Lovely guy - very honest about its foyballs...flew across 5.00am. Returned to Norfolk at 11.30pm after 9 hours driving her.
