I'm looking for an R26 and have spotted this. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1595819.htm

Anyone got any comments/opinions please? Looks good value. Mileage is 49k but engines' seem reliable enough to take it. Anyone already looked at it?? Cheshire is a bit of a drive so any help gratefully received.

Thanks

sorry, slightly vague on my behalf. What i mean is that i.ll probably put 20k a year on it and plan to keep it for 3 years. My fault.

Got one myself at the minute, great car. I've had a few french cars but the last few have been german so I didn't know what i'd think. It's really good fun to drive, the turn-in is nothing short of brilliant. The Renaultsports are made in a different factory to other Renaults so build quality is pretty good too. A few rattles but a price worth paying for the fun factor.

They do feel a little underpowered as standard, the chassis and brakes are both capable of far more. A remap will sort most of this though and make the car as it should have been from the factory. I shouldn't worry about the mileage, mine has done 43k and is still like new. However, if you plan to put a fair few miles on it yourself, it would probably be a better option to find a lower mileage example, given the miles you'll do. Prices seem to have stabilised recently and seem to range from £10k upto around £13k dependent on age and mileage. I'd say do it!
