I had to drive from london to Norfolk yesterday, with my son. As a surprise, he insured me on his 106 GTI for the day.

What a great little car! I found it hard to fault, apart from the cramped footwell and it's apparent fuel consumption.

Everything about it seemed so well matched, the gearchange, engine and handling were great. His car has only done 30k, so I reckon that he'll easily get his money back when he comes to sell it.

I sold my 106 GTi 2 years ago and I have missed it ever since. I'm looking for another one now to use as a track car.

30k is very low mileage, he would probably get quite a lot of money if/when he sold it.

Hi, yes, it is low mileage. It's also completely un-modified, which must be almost unique!

I'm hoping that he'll actually make a profit on it if he keeps it as it is.
