Help my 1999 pug 106 quick silver is ticking over at 4000rpm. Ive checked the throtle cable and thats ok. The problem is the stepamotor opening too much. Ive fitted another stepamotor but this has not solved the problem 100% as it now ticks over at 2000rpm. Althouh it worked fine for about 10miles smash any advice much appreciated

It's not a problem with the choke is it ?

Thanks for the reply but its fuel inection and not fitted with a choke as far as i know

Could be engine temp sensor keeping the stepper motor open because it thinks the engines cold.

I'd guess at ICV/stepper too, they're fairly common to go, but otherwsie check for an air leak somewhere, although it'd then run/drive roughly too.
