R5 Clutch Cable

Ok, the clutch cable has snapped on my friend's Renault 5 Monaco. Does anyone know whether it is relatively easy to relplace. If so, any tips?

Bit of a fiddle but by no means difficult. Biggest mistake is when feeding it round the back of the pedal, there is a small loop that the cable MUST go through. Beyond that straightforward 15min job.

Renault introduced some years ago a Modified clutch pedal and possibly ? a modified cable ( cant remember for sure ) for the 5 GT-turbo ,its possibly the same as the other 5s , it put far less strain on the cable than the earlier original design of pedal . Also the Ratchet on the pedal wears , so check this as well .
