Hi, has anyone had a problem with their gearbox? I'm on my second Renault-supplied one and it's done 20k and gone.
I don't absolutely cane it but drive it like it should. Disapointing. It started when the speedo stopped working intermitently, though not sure if it's related. I then found when coming down from 4th to 3rd it was a bit "notchy". Sometimes I felt a really raw grinding sound when first using the car in the morning which went after a couple of hundred yards. The day it broke, the gears didn't feel quite when selecting.
Any ideas???

Had to replace mine on around 70k. Bearing failed due to an oil leak. Still operated fine but was making a ticking/clicking noise which was getting progressively worse.
I never really abused the 'box but it did cover a fair few hard miles. It was always a bit notchy 5th to 4th when on a charge.
