I have a saxo vts an the air bag light has come on. I took it to the garage an they said it was the N/S pre tensioner/buckle. But i was told the common problem is with the wires under the seats. Does anybody know if its true or any info on the problem

Is most likely to be the pre tensioner it is a common fault not only on the saxo's but on many french hatches mostly three door models of Clio's Megane's Saxo's etc just because when the seat is slid back and fore over time it disturbs the wiring and puts the airbag light on hth

Usually the wiring breaks near the plug under the seat ,easy repair with a soldering iron.Crimp connectors don't last.

Sounds like the same problem a mate has, I'm sure he's just unplugged it underneath the seat.

i did unplug the a few weeks ago an pluged them back in, which worked for a while but no its constantly on. I will replace the tensioner i think as the wires under the seat seem fine, they dont look broken and all the pins are ok. looks like another expensive stron part thank lads anyway
