I'm doing an upgrade on a mates Citroen C3. New head unit, comps and amp. At the moment he has the Blaupunkt aftermarket head unit and speakers that were offered as an upgrade at the factory when he bought it new.

My question is, will I need to still get an ISO adapter for the new head unit or will there already be one from when the dealers installed the Blaupunkt aftermarket jobbie? I assume so as it's not a built in unit like the standard tape player the car should have come with.

Also, I have read storied on a Citroen site (trying to register but its not having any of it...) where people have fked their central locking system installing an aftermarket unit. Apparently i

t's due to the electrical system having the wires the wrong way around for the head unit and you need a citroen ISO adapter to sort it.

I presume this is what would have been used to install the Blaupunkt jobbie?

Cheers guys

Easiest way is pop the radio out then you know what you have, it it's an official radio upgrade it might have been built as per Citroens requirements, on some blaupoint radios they have the pin outs on a sticker on the top, but peugeot renault put how to install a radio in the instruction manual so check his car manual.
