peugeot 206cc gearbox problem need help

friend of mine has just bought a 51 plate 206cc with a faulty gearbox the thing is hes fitted another gearbox along with a new clutch but its jumping out of reverse it goes into everey gear fine doesnt jump out of any other gear apart from reverse also if he reverses slow ei if he was coming out of a parking spot its fine but as soon as he speeds out it jumps out does anyone have any idea what could be thanks!!

Where did he source the gearbox from was he 100% sure that there was no faults with the 2nd gbox, also check that the linkage isn't fouling on anything, and finaly did he look at both gearboxes and check that they were 100% the same.

hi me mate said that the gearboxes are identical also the car it came of was running fine it had bin rolled apparantly today its not jumping out of reverse as much strange really just wondering if the new clutch as anything to do with it thanks for the reply!!
